CASG students won DC Canada’s Story Writing Contest publication!

Congratulations to our students Chloe Lu for winning the opportunity of having their works to be published in DC Canada Education Publishing's 2022 Story Writing Contest, out of 350 contestants!

Let's take a look at the students' work! First up is 6-year-old Harvey Liu's entry, which tells a story about friends.

                                                                                          Friends
Once there lived a lion in a forest. Steel, the lion, was very fierce. His two friends, Dream, the tiger, and Nightmare, the monkey, made the perfect team for hunting- Dream was extremely fast, while; Nightmare was fantastic at climbing. One night by the streams, they were looking for food. Suddenly, Steel and Dream spotted a giant grey fish. Steel roared, "This one is mine!" Angrily, Dream leaped towards the fish. Luckily, Nightmare caught the fish first and screeched, "We're all friends, we share!" From then on, the three friends shared every meal and lived happily ever after.

Then let's take a look at the work of 4-year-old student Chloe Liu who tells a story related to dream.

In 2019, Canada launched its first Story Writing Contest, dedicated to fostering children's interest in reading and passion for writing.

Now in its fourth year, the contest has brought together a large number of talented young writers who have been able to express their imaginations in their own words.

During the preparation period, the participants undertook systematic and chapter-based writing training under the guidance of Canada After School Group teachers, from words, sentences and paragraphs to essays. Students have further broadened their ideas, strengthened their writing foundation and skills, and polished their works little by little under the guidance of teachers!

All along, Canada After School Group has been encouraging the young students. to participate in international competitions to explore and to cultivate their talents. This competition is just the starting point of the writing career of our young students, and there will be more excellent works in the futurel
