CASG Student Won the First Place of the Central East Ontario Regional Competition
of the 2021 Spelling Bee

        Dylan Zhang, a Canada After School Group student, won the first place in the Central East Ontario Regional Competition of the 2021 Spelling Bee and made it to the national finals in October! With his hard work, he showed everyone how persistent and dreamy teenagers are - spelling words, spelling the world!

 

          Congratulations Dylan Zhang. You have proven yourself!

 

      The first place winner of this competition will receive a $200 prize and will be interviewed by CTV CBC Sport and other leading Canadian television stations!

 

       The Spelling Bee is a world-famous English language competition with six organizing committees and millions of contestants from over 100 countries participating each year. Over 50 million young people in more than 100 countries have participated in this event.

 

       In addition, the world-renowned "Ivy League" schools also pay close attention to the event, with dozens of winners being accepted to top international schools such as Yale University, Princeton University, Cornell University and George Washington University.

 

        The 2021 Spelling Bee is organised by The Spelling Bee of Canada, and the Central East Ontario Regional : Competition has just started, and only the best Spellers will make it to the national finals!

     CASG hopes to provide students with a platform to connect with the international community and help : them enrich their knowledge and broaden their horizons.


   Every CASG student felt more deeply the fun and charm of English in the preparation and in the competition, and further discovered their potential, strengths and weaknesses.


     CASG has always encouraged students to actively participate in well-known international events,
especially high-level events, so that they can have the opportunity to stand on a bigger stage, to improve
their confidence, to showcase their achievements, to compete with stronger and better players, and to
constantly motivate themselves to move forward!
